Alra Intelligence · Services-as-Software · AI Engineering · AI Leadership

We sell finished work. Not hours.

Alra Intelligence is a services-as-software firm. Senior engineers audit your business the way an investor would, ship production AI in weeks at fixed, written quotes, run it as a managed system — and report the return in your CFO's language. For organizations that want AI leadership, we serve as your fractional Chief AI Officer.

100% senior delivery
The person who diagnoses your business builds the system. No junior handoffs, ever.
Fixed quotes, in writing
Every engagement is quoted fixed before work begins. Never hourly, never a surprise invoice.
Production in weeks
Every engagement is time-boxed and ends with software running in your environment.
Remote-first, worldwide
Senior delivery across US and international time zones — embedded in your tools, not your office.

01 — The shift

The market has already voted. Most firms can't follow it.

These aren't our numbers — they're the industry's own. Demand is moving away from headcount-based delivery toward finished, software-like services — a shift most established firms cannot make without rebuilding their economics. We were built on the other side of it.

15–17%
of clients ever move AI pilots to scale — as stated publicly by the chief strategy officer of the world's largest AI consultancy.
70%
of buyers say they would not trust a consultancy report prepared using AI. In this market, verifiable rigor is the differentiator.

02 — What we do

Three ways we deliver. One model behind all of them.

Everything we sell is scoped in writing, priced on the work — never the hours — and delivered by the senior engineers who scoped it.

Agentic engineering

AI Systems, Built to Production

Agentic pipelines, document and data automation, AI systems wired into the tools you already run — shipped live in your environment, not as a demo.

  • Fixed-price, time-boxed sprints
  • Human approval wherever judgment matters
  • Deep integration into your systems of record
Platform-led operations

Managed AI Systems

Your systems run as a managed service on a hardened delivery platform — monitored, evaluated, and improved continuously. You get outcomes, not a codebase to babysit.

  • A living evaluation suite defines "working"
  • Fixed monthly fee + capped run-cost envelope
  • Monthly reporting in financial language
AI leadership

Digital & AI Transformation

Strategy, governance, and vendor truth-testing for executive teams — what to build, what to buy, what to ignore, and what each choice does to your P&L.

  • AI roadmap ranked by financial impact
  • Governance & risk frameworks that pass audit
  • Fractional Chief AI Officer at the top

03 — How we engage

Four rungs. Fixed quotes. No surprises.

Buyers' top two complaints about AI vendors are unpredictable costs and unclear total cost of ownership. So every rung is time-boxed and quoted fixed, in writing, before work begins — you approve the exact number before anything starts.

Rung 1 · Entry

AI Readiness & Governance Audit

Fixed fee · quoted in writing
2 weeks · credited against Rung 2

A senior-only diagnostic through a financial lens: where AI moves real money in your business, ranked by impact — ending in a written ready / not-ready verdict.

Rung 2 · Build

Production Sprint

Fixed quote · per scope
6 weeks · live in your environment

One scoped system taken from signed statement of work to running in production. We never sell proofs-of-concept — the deliverable works, or the phase gate stops it.

Rung 3 · Run

Managed AI Systems

Monthly retainer · quoted in writing
monthly · capped run-costs

Your systems operated, monitored, and improved — with a maintained evaluation suite and capped monthly run-costs, defined in your SOW. The industry won't cap your AI bill. We do.

Rung 4 · Lead

Fractional Chief AI Officer

Scoped · fixed retainer
~1 day/week · board-level · priced before signature

Senior AI leadership embedded in your executive team — strategy, governance, vendor selection, and quarterly board reporting. A fixed monthly retainer scoped to your mandate — never hourly. Includes every rung below it.

Why fixed quotes when the industry bills hours? Because hourly billing rewards inefficiency — the opposite of what you're buying. Every Alra engagement is quoted as a single fixed number, in writing, before signature; if we're inefficient, we absorb it, not you. We can afford that because senior people build reusable systems instead of billing time. Enterprise engagements are scoped separately — always fixed, never hourly.

04 — Fractional Chief AI Officer

76% of companies now have a Chief AI Officer. Yours shouldn't cost $500K.

The CAIO went from rare to standard in one year — 26% of organizations in 2025 to 76% in 2026 (IBM CEO Study, n=2,000). But a full-time hire runs well into the mid six figures in cash before equity, and most organizations under $500M in revenue can't justify one. That's the gap we fill: the same seniority, one day a week, at a fraction of the cost.

What makes ours different is that your AI officer is also the engineer. Advisory-only roadmaps stop at the slide deck; ours are written by the person who has shipped the systems — so every recommendation is one its author can actually build.

Two rules, in writing: we are platform-neutral — no undisclosed vendor ties, ever — and every recommendation comes with the financial case that justifies it, in the format your board expects.

The first 90 days
Weeks 1–2AI maturity assessment, shadow-AI audit, governance gap analysis
Weeks 3–6Prioritized roadmap ranked by financial impact + governance framework
Days 1–90Two to three use cases moved toward production, with evaluation systems
OngoingWeekly advisory, monthly strategy sessions, quarterly board reporting

05 — The method

Audit like an investor. Build like an engineer. Run like an operator. Report like a CFO.

01 · AUDIT

Find the money

A diagnostic through a valuation lens: where AI actually moves revenue, margin, or risk — ranked by financial impact, not novelty.

02 · BUILD

Ship the system

Fixed scope, signed before we build. Production engineering standards. Live in weeks, gated on your real data and a named owner.

03 · RUN

Operate & evaluate

Managed operation with a living evaluation suite — the codified definition of "working" that outlives any single engagement.

04 · PROVE

Report the return

Monthly reporting in financial language: pipeline created, cost removed, capacity gained. Numbers your CFO can take to the board.

06 — The Alra Standard

In an industry caught fabricating, rigor is the product.

Major firms have been caught publishing AI-fabricated citations while selling AI governance. We compete on the opposite: numbers that survive checking. Six commitments, non-negotiable.

Every number is sourced
Every statistic we publish — including the ones on this page — traces to a named primary source you can verify.
We publish negative results
When our evaluations say something didn't work, we say so. Anyone can publish wins; measurement discipline is publishing the losses.
Platform-neutral, in writing
No undisclosed vendor ties, no kickbacks, no preferred-platform pitches. Our only incentive is that your system works.
A named human signs every output
AI drafts; accountable people approve. Judgment is never automated away — in your systems or in our own work.
Signed scope before we build
Every engagement starts with a written statement of work and a fixed price. No surprises, no scope drift, no invoice creep.
We'll tell you to stop
We have no bench to feed. If the audit says AI doesn't clear the bar in your business, the verdict says so — and costs you nothing more.

08 — The next step

Start where every engagement starts: with a verdict.

The Readiness & Governance Audit is two weeks, a single fixed fee quoted before you sign, and fully credited against your first build. You leave with a document, not a pitch:
